Using Your NDIS Plan

NDIS Funding Information for Participants

Step Up Play offers a range of sensory products, therapy resources, educational tools, assistive supports, and developmental equipment designed to support individuals with all accessibility needs.

Some products available at Step Up Play may be eligible for purchase using NDIS funding, depending on a participant’s individual plan, goals, and funding categories.

Eligible products may be funded under categories such as:

  • Low Cost Assistive Technology
  • Consumables
  • Assistive Products for Recreation and Community Participation
  • Communication and Information Equipment
  • Daily Living Supports

Please note: all NDIS purchases must meet the NDIS “reasonable and necessary” criteria and align with the participant’s goals and support needs. For plan-managed and self-managed participants, additional flexibility may apply depending on individual plan budgets and management arrangements.

Certain specialised or higher-risk products, including weighted products, compression supports, sensory equipment, positioning supports, or therapeutic tools, may require recommendation or written guidance from a qualified allied health professional prior to purchase.

Step Up Play recommends discussing product suitability with a treating therapist, support coordinator, or plan manager if unsure whether a product can be claimed under a participant’s NDIS plan.
